Book of Revelation Chapter Nine

A goal I have as an Artist is to communicate forgotten aspects of the Holy Bible and elucidate the knowledge to the modern mindset, through using contemporary methods.

Here is an illustration which is inspired by Christian End Times Prophecies, and the artwork is currently in transit, en route to Canterbury in England. The drawing is based on the Book of Revelation, chapter 9, and the Biblical cipher used to describe the type of mysterious being shown is the term locust.

The illustration is a symbolic representation of one of the creatures described in chapter 9 of the Book of Revelation. There are various symbols used in this artwork, such as the crown above its head, symbolising that the creature has authority.

I could be wrong...but these mysterious beings don't seem to be angels, and they don't seem to be demons, but they are...something else.
