Here is the finished video I've created as part of my entry into the @therookiesco Monthly Art Challenge: For The Explorer. This project is based on the fiction of H. P. Lovecraft and I've made Environment Art showing Antarctica in September 1930.
The artwork is mainly based on the Lovecraft story 'At The Mountains of Madness', although I've incorporated a lot of other influences, such as H. P. Lovecraft themed movies.
My idea with this Environment Art is it's a site where Explorers arrive to find a location that is ancient, alien, and forgotten.
I had an artistic vision of the direction I wanted to take the artwork in, such as the blue colour palette, and I hope I've accomplished a cohesive aesthetic for the project.
The Environment Art and video footage was made using Unreal Engine.
