Digger

Lately I've been returning to older drawings I've made, to add colour and complete them. This is an illustration of the Spider-Man villain called Digger. He is a lesser known Spider-Man character, but still rad and bodacious.

When I was at University in London during the mid 2000's, I would sometimes take a timeout from my studies to visit local comic book stores. My favourite store was Comic Showcase on Charing Cross Road. At that time I was interested in The Amazing Spider-Man comics (I still am), and that's when I was first introduced to the character of Digger, in volume 2, #53.

I remember reading in this comic that although Digger isn't as strong as The Incredible Hulk, he still has vast mutant gamma superhuman strength.
