La Brea Tar Pits

2 drawings I made when in LA at the La Brea Tar Pits museum. When I heard that there are giant pits filled with prehistoric 80s goo, it was all I could think about and I had to go. I've always been interested in paleontology since I was very young. I used to have extensive knowledge about dinosaurs and things like that, but I can't remember much of the information now. However, my interest in paleontology hasn't gone away and it's an area of study I'd like to continue to develop. The La Brea Tar is the biggest fossil site, in one place, on earth. The type of fossils found there are from the ice age era and they have an entire wall covered in dire wolf skulls. I loved going to this place and it instantly rekindled my desire to in paleontology again. The tour was amazing too.
