Freddy Krueger

"13 Amid disquieting thoughts from visions of the night, When deep sleep falls on people,
14 Dread came upon me, and trembling,
And all my bones shake."

- The Book of Job, 4:13-14, (New American Standard Version).

The 1988 film 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 4' opens with a quote from The Book of Job in the Old Testament. 1980s films were both smart and complex.

Here is an acrylic painting I've made of Freddy Krueger from the movie 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 4', and in my view, it's the best film in the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' horror series. The third film is very close though.

I recently watched the 4th movie again as reference for this artwork, and I realised how amazing the neon lighting is in this film. The movie has such an incredible 80s aesthetic, and this is only enhanced by the soundtrack featuring music from Tuesday Knight. This acrylic painting/illustration was used for a customised envelope which I sent out to Nottingham.
