This is the completed drawing of Oliver Reed as the Wolfman, from the 1961 film 'The Curse of the Werewolf'. The film is a Hammer Film Production, directed by Terence Fisher.
I view Oliver Reed as a genuine actor, with real acting skills, and I also see him as a cool guy. I'm not sure I've ever seen another actor bring the level of intensity that Oliver Reed brought to a role, and this is why he fitted characters like Bill Sikes and the Wolfman so well. Both characters have a high degree of danger. The fact that Oliver Reed could make a creature performance like the Wolfman work is a testament to his versatile acting abilities.
This drawing was made with willow charcoal, and I was using reductive drawing methods to build up the subtlety with the tones.
