Puns and Pundits

As a keen student of the Holy Bible, I enjoy studying the Scriptures in the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. The Holy Bible is an integrated lattice of information which speaks on various levels, all at the same time, working as a whole. I've concluded that there is absolutely no way that human intelligence could have written the Bible, and this is after reading or listening to the Bible every day for over a decade. Some of the Bible is written literally, some of the Scriptures are written poetically, and some of the Verses are written prophetically. Lately I've discovered that there is also a level to the Text which includes both puns and wordplay. Interestingly enough, the Book of Job contains a lot of wordplay and puns, and this is the oldest book contained in the Bible. This shows that wordplay and puns go back to the earliest traditions of the Bible. My latest reading material is 'Puns and Pundits' written by Scott B. Noegel, who is a professor at the University of Washington. I can't wait to study these subjects further through this book, and it's great to see an increase in a type of Christianity which is both intelligent and fearless, not being intimidated easily.
