The Man Without Fear

The Man Without Fear, Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. I created this illustration digitally using Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. To make this drawing I applied theory which I've learnt in my concept art module in recent weeks, such as 3 point lighting, including key, fill, and rim lights. For this artwork I used knowledge I've learned about anatomy, pose, colour, and foreshortening. I'm happy with this drawing of Daredevil, because even though it doesn't have the finish I'd like to eventually achieve, it exhibits the foundational principles for making cool comic book art. Also, as I start to use a digital workflow more to make art, this was great practice getting used to the digital tools.
