Spider Egg

The latest development with the 'Flight of the Nocturnal' game is, the Mothship Studios team asked me to create a gnarly spider egg for the cupboard level, and this is what I have made. I'd say I was going for a H. R. Giger aesthetic with the spider egg. The design for this spider egg was mainly inspired by the 1979 Ridley Scott film 'Alien', the spider eggs featured in the 'Skyrim' game, and to some extent the 1986 musical horror film 'Little Shop of Horrors'. The overall shapes for the spider egg are fairly simple, but through using the alphas in ZBrush, I feel I maximised the texturing to make the asset look more interesting.
