Incredible Hulk

"Hurt Betty?....HULK SMASH!!" - Incredible Hulk. I'm having a good night drawing whilst listening to the soundtrack to the film The Hulk 2003 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ie1waJKUA2s I actually really like the film and think it's a successful comic book adaptation. When drawing the Hulk I want to get a sense of radioactivity and mutanty power. This is the sense I get from the earlier Incredible Hulk comics. Listening to this movie soundtrack gets me into the right frame of mind. In the first appearance of Wolverine in the Incredible Hulk issue 181 comic, the Hulk does lift up a boulder to attack Wolverine with, so I thought I'd reference this in my artwork. This is a really exciting time for me creating artwork. For a long time I've been wanting to refine my comic book drawing skills, and these pieces are the culmination of all of that work. I still feel I have some way to go yet and I intend on continuing to progress, but right now I'm happy because I feel I have the foundations set in place for creating engaging comic book artwork.
