I'll be returning to my BA Game Art course in about two weeks, which means the artwork I'll be posting will become more digital in format again. This is because most of my free time will return to being directed towards my degree. Marking the end of my summer series of traditional illustrations, I'm creating a drawing of Swamp Thing, who is my favourite comic book hero. I find Swamp Thing to be a very unique and unusual comic book character, and the cartoon, comics, and films about Swamp Thing are all cool. Alan Moore added a lot of depth and nuance to the lore of the hero. Swamp Thing is a challenging character for me to draw, because not only do I have to account for the human form, but all of the foliage which covers him as well, so it's like making two drawings in one. Also, for this artwork I'm using up paper which I've had for 18 years and it's covered in art materials. It's still good quality paper though which can be recycled, and the art materials already on the paper adds some excellent textures. #swampthing #swampthing2 #swampthingcomics #swampthingedit #alecholland #alanmoore #graphicnovel #graphicnovels #graphicnovelart #dc #dccomics #dcmovies #dccinematicuniverse #comic #comics #comicbook #comicart #movie #movies #film #films #draw #drawing #drawings #sketch #sketching #sketchbook #sketchaday #illustration #art
