The next step for me in @therookiesco 'Monthly Art Challenge: The Streets' has been to develop some textures for the scene with Substance Sampler. Swipe left to see all seven of the textures I've created. I would definitely say that Substance Sampler is brilliant software to use. When making these textures I applied a variety of layers, and then I adjusted the properties for each layer. Seeing as the street scene will be in Portlock, Alaska, the look I was going for with these materials was to make them look very worn by the elements, and creating the cedar wood materials was a lot of fun. I only have two weeks left for this art challenge, and I've been trying to concentrate on producing some interesting tileable textures.
