Martian Manhunter

It has been a while since I've used ZBrush, and the reason is, I've been enjoying focusing on drawing again. However, I'm feeling inspired to return to creating some more Character Art, and I've made a start on this sculpt of the Martian Manhunter.

Something I'm mindful of is that various demographics of people follow my artwork, and not everyone is a comic book fan. For those that don't know, Martian Manhunter is a DC character and he is part of the superhero team called The Justice League.

There are many different design iterations of the Martian Manhunter from over the years, and to be honest, I like them all. With this being said, I went for the Martian Manhunter design from 2007. This is because I reckon the alien shaped skull will work well as a ZBrush sculpt. Also, usually the Martian Manhunter is bulked out, but the 2007 design is a slimmer version of the character.

These renders were made with ZBrush 2026, and they show the initial stages of the sculpting process for the character.
