Unity Post Processing

Today I took part in a Wednesday workshop learning how to use the Unity game engine at an intermediate level and it was fascinating content. Recently I've been reading through the requirements for jobs as a character artist and I have been surprised to see that they often ask for knowledge of using Unity, with less importance being placed on Unreal Engine. The teaching today covered a variety of topics, such as working with a skybox in the scene, post-processing, lighting, depth of field, applying real-time reflections to an object, and rendering. In particular I enjoyed finding out about effects which can be added to the scene such as chromatic aberration and colour lookup, and these are a series of renders which I made of the work I did earlier. I specifically found effects such as chromatic aberration to be interesting in its possible applications to horror games, giving more of a gritty feel to the scene. Regarding the skills I learnt in the workshop, I can see a lot of potential as to how I might add them when rendering out my character art. Today has totally changed my perception of Unity and I've realised that it's an amazing game engine. #unity #unitytech #unitytechnology #unitytechnologies #unity3d #unity3dgame #unity3dgames #gameart #gameartist #gamedesign #gaming #environmentart #maya #substancepainter #marmoset #3dart #3dartist #computergame #computergames #computergaming #marvel #marvelcomic #marvelcomics #comic #comics #comicbook #comicart #movie #movies #film
