Lobo

Preliminary drawing of Lobo for the jam piece organised by @draw_for_change. This is only a rough, but it will be replicated on the actual piece, hopefully tomorrow. I don't usually do preliminary pieces like this, but I want everything to be right for the final piece. Also, the scale of the final drawing is really important, because I don't want to take up too much room from the other artists. Everything has to be set before I start, such as the pose. I've also been working out things like texture on the character, such as the hair on the arms and face, as well as a good but discreet place to tag it. This is the first time I've drawn Lobo in about 3 years and it's a while lot of fun illustrating him. Lately I've been studying the work of a lot of other comic book artists and I've realised that they often do preliminary pieces of artwork before working on the final thing, so I think it's a good practice to employ in my artwork.
