Batman and Predator Team Up

The title of this piece of artwork is going to be 'Hunters Moon'. I'm obsessed with both the characters of Batman and Predator so felt like it would be an ideal team up for the @draw_for_change charity art auction. Doug Standish runs @draw_for_change and he is an artist as well. He has a flair for creating great briefs for the artists to run with. Drawing this was a lot of fun. I'm trying to draw as much from the Predator lore as possible and include it. Batman has a spear made from an alien tail which appeared in the film AVP. The Predator has the telescoping spear from Predator 2. I felt like for the hunt of zenomorphs Mr. Wayne would need to be tooled up, so he is armed with a space marine assault rifle from the movie Aliens. Batman also has the mark of the brave on his forehead. I wanted to play with scale for this piece and make Batman an absolute tank of a man, but then at the same time have him be dwarfed by the bulk and height of the Predator. Overall the look of the Predator will be taken from Predator 2, like the skull and bone necklace, but there will be different elements added from elsewhere. To say I'm excited about this piece would be a gross understatement. These are light pencils but you should be able to work out a lot of what is going on. I had planned to get 3 different pieces done in the next 3 days, but it looks like this one will take up all of my time until Saturday. Colouring with watercolours to follow tomorrow.
