New Markers

A few updates from myself. I'm going to be taking part in the March Unicef @draw_for_change event and the artwork I'll be making is going to be Transformers based. I can't wait to make a start on the project, probably this week. Between now and June I'll be taking part in 5 DFC projects. I couldn't be happier and more hyped about this, and at the same time I'll need to plan my time in the next few months well, but I think it's going to be very cool. For the Transformers illustration, I have bought some new markers to create it with. This is why I've bought a grey tone set of markers. These aren't the usual marker brand I use, but because of the lockdown, I haven't had a chance to go to the art shop as I usually do, so I'll be going with these brands. They look great though so hopefully I'll be able to create something quality. I bought these from Cass Arts. They have stores all over the UK, and I've been to the London branches and the store in Bristol a lot. Cass Arts have a 20% discount on markers at the moment which is excellent. I do still plan to make the jump into digital, but for the time being the demand is for traditional artwork from myself. Also, I want to work large scale, and the cost of creating the artwork myself is far more feasible than getting giant artwork made at a printers. The Transformers artwork I'm planning to make will be 1 metre in length and I want to add loads of detail. Not as big as my Star Wars artwork haha, but still a decent size. I'm now going to go deep into meditation to decide on which Transformers to add to my artwork. They will mainly be Autobots, and right now I have Optimus, Inferno, Hound, Ratchet, Prowl, the Dinobots, and many more on my mind. So in the next few weeks you can expect to see a lot more Transformers artwork from myself as I immerse myself into the cartoon and comics even more. Let the researching for the project begin.
