Space Slug

The Space Slug, or Exogorth, from the Star Wars film The Empire Strikes Back. Giant worms were all the rage back in the 80s. Beetlejuice is another example. The trouble with these creatures that live inside of asteroids is they eat Millennium Falcons like they are Opal fruits. Out of all cinema, I find the practical effects used by George Lucas to be some of the best. I enjoyed going to town with the white ink and a toothbrush for this illustration. This piece of artwork took longer than I expected but I feel I made the most of the ink medium for it. Inktober day 25, prompt word tasty.
