Portlock Totem Pole

My latest update with the @therookiesco 'Monthly Art Challenge: The Streets' is I've created a hero asset of a totem pole for the scene. I made these renders of the hero asset in Maya, using a combination of an ambient occlusion and wireframe shader, making a mixshader. I'm basing the environment art project on a enigmatic ghost town in Alaska called Portlock, also known as Port Chatham, which has been abandoned 4 times in its history, by various groups of people. Spanning back centuries, people have been going missing or turning up deceased in Portlock, such as a logger named Andrew Kamluk, who was found passed away in the forest during 1931, along with all of his dogs. At the site where he was found, his very heavy snow sled had been flung far away from the scene, even though it was too heavy for a human to lift. A number of people have gone missing in Portlock, and when this happens, they stay missing. This hero asset shows a totem pole left in Portlock by the native people's of the land, and the totem pole serves as a warning to stay out. #maya #mayamodel #mayamodeling #substancepainter #cgi #gameart #gamedesign #environmentart #unreal #unreal4 #unreal5 #render #renders #rendering #render3d #3dart #3dartist #marvel #marvelcomic #marvelcomics #comic #comics #comicbook #comicart #movie #movies #film #films #draw #drawing
