A comparison post. The first illustration was created when I was 8 years old, and the second was made decades later. I sometimes think people are surprised when I tell them I have a keen interest in history, especially ancient history, but as this early drawing shows this has always been the case. My view is that many of our traits are hardwired into us from the get go. My mother has also encouraged my interest in ancient history over the years. From a Christian perspective, Egypt is an integral part of Biblical history. Understanding ancient Egypt helps to understand the Bible. Another thing I want to say to fellow Artists is gold paint and pens are awesome to create artwork with, if you haven't tried before. And one last thing, I actually think the drawing I created when I was 8 is a stronger illustration.
