Rettendon Murders

On the 6th December, 1995 three men were shot dead in a small village called Rettendon, Essex, in the South East of the UK. They were executed whilst in a navy F reg Range Rover on Workhouse Lane, and the murder weapon was a pump action shotgun. It was snowing that evening, and yet the killer or killers left no tracks in the snow. The murders look like they were a professional hit. After having researched the events for a while, I've found the case is shrouded in mystery. For example, there was a sighting of the deceased recorded by the Police....after the time when the killings took place, according to the crime report. Furthermore, it seems as though the three men knew and trusted the killer, because they were lured unarmed, to a remote, vulnerable location. I'd also point out that the three were tough men and not easily intimated. The Rettendon murders have gripped the nation and since then have inspired a series of movies based on the scenario surrounding December 6th 1995.
