Cave Troll Rigged

This week I've been rigging and posing the Cave Troll from LOTR in Maya. It was my first attempt at rigging a character, yikes! My tutors gave us information on various ways about how a character can be posed, such as using Mixamo, but I found Maya to be the most effective tool for rigging and posing the figure. Learning how to rig in Maya is all new knowledge to me so it has been challenging working through the process, but I'm pleased with the results. A while ago I took a 6 week short course in Maya at Central Saint Martin's in London. It was a fantastic course with an excellent tutor, but in 6 weeks we only really learnt the basics. If you had told me back then that I would be at my current stage with Maya it would have put a smile on my face.
