For The Explorer

I'm going to be taking part in @therookiesco Monthly Art Challenge this September and the theme this month is 'For The Explorer'. I've been meaning to create art based on the fiction of H. P. Lovecraft for a while now, and this Monthly Art Challenge will be a great opportunity to do this.

The Lovecraft scene I'm developing is a mysterious frozen environment set in Antarctica. I want the scene to look ancient, and alien at the same time. The 3D assets will be inspired by the fiction of H. P. Lovecraft, but also based on real life sites such as Baalbek.

This is a brief introduction to the project and I'll be posting more on the progress I'm making in the next few weeks. The Monthly Art Challenge started on Monday and I'm pleased to have now realised the direction I'll be taking the artwork in.
