Brighton

I had a brilliant time at Develop:Brighton today and it seems like Wednesday is the busiest day during the conference because the Hilton Hotel was packed. It's a great event and I found it easy to chat to people whilst here. My favourite presentation during the day was from James Binns, who is a former journalist and has 30 years experience within the games industry. His talk contained fascinating content on how to scale a brand and marketing a game. My advice to fellow students involved in game related studies is you have to make it to events like these, because it provides and opportunity to speak to people working in the games industry, some of whom are recruiters, all under one roof. I also found out useful information about how an Artist should tailor their portfolio, whether they plan to go into indie game creation or working for a big AAA games company. Today I really enjoyed speaking to the teams at D3T Studio, Framestore, and nDreams. As someone with a Bristolian postcode, the South Coast has quite a different vibe, and I'm very glad to have visited Develop:Brighton. #developbrighton #london #game #gaming #gameart #gamedesign #environmentart #maya #unity #substancepainter #marmoset #unreal #unreal4 #unreal5 #mayamodel #mayamodeling #cgi #marvel #marvelcomic #marvelcomics #comic #comics #comicbook #comicart #movie #movies #film #films #draw #drawing
