Dwarf Lords

"Long ago, in the early years of the Second Age, the great Elven-smiths forged rings of power...Seven, for the Dwarf Lords..."

- A quote from the opening of the 1978 animated film J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, which was directed by Ralph Bakshi.

This is a drawing I made on a card for Mothering Sunday, and the illustration is inspired by the 1978 Lord of the Rings animated movie.

My Mum is a fan of the LOTR, and she first saw the animated Lord of the Rings film during 1982, in a cinema around Baker Street, in London. I was introduced to this animated film at an early age, and it's probably one of the most significant influences on the artwork I create.

If people enjoy seeing the artwork I create, the encouragement to make art has been constant from my Mother.

The artwork seen here is a mixed media illustration, made with Windsor & Newton acrylic paint, Posca paint markers, and Gold brand spray paint.
