Ventress Process Shots

Process shots of Ventress the Sith from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I had planned to spend 2 - 3 days creating this artwork commission, but in the end the creation of the piece ran over 5 days. I'm pleased with the results through so I think the additional time put in was worth it. I have a fine art background and in the past I used oil pastels all the time, so it was really great on a personal level for me to return to using this art material. With oil pastels you can still get the vivid colours and a similar painty effect of oil painting, but at the same time you can work on paper and you don't get the long drying times, so really they are an awesome materials to use. I've got back into using oil pastels and this piece was really me finding my feet with them again. I plan to use then more in the future.
