The Grinch WIP

The Grinch WIP. The layers of colour have now been applied and I'll be posting the finished version of this illustration on Christmas Day. When working with mixed media, I like to use a dry material like markers, and a wet material like Indian ink. I find this technique gives a wide selection of colours and tones to the artwork. Next I'll be adding further detailing using black and white Posca paint markers. As I was drawing the Grinch, I realised just how terrifying a character he is, and I'm not too sure what he is supposed to be haha.
