Kentucky Goblin Posed

My goal is to keep the momentum high with my entry for @therookiesco Monthly Art Challenge, and I have now posed the Kentucky Goblin sculpt. In the 1955 cryptid account from the bluegrass state, the eye witnesses said that one of these creatures approached with its hands in the air, and I wanted to recreate this for the character art.

I usually pose character art with Maya or Accurig, but I've found that my preferred method is now through using ZBrush. This is because low poly character meshes can get all distorted around the joints when positioned in Maya. Also, when changing the character from an A-pose to the one seen here, there is a lot of contortion and twisting of the muscle structure.

I find that through using ZBrush to pose a character, it gives me the opportunity to work further on the sculpt after the character has been posed, making the anatomy look more accurate.
