Inktober

It's that time of year for another Inktober event. For those of you who don't know what Inktober is, it's an event which Artists take part in, mainly through Instagram, where they create an illustration using ink for each day in October. This will be my fourth Inktober event. I found that during my first event in 2017 I made big gains in my artwork, probably the biggest jumps I've seen in my work. I'd recommend to Artists that it's worthwhile taking part in Inktober regardless of what level you are at. Last year I struggled with the prompt list and found it constraining to the type of artwork I like to create. I wasn't sure about whether I would do Inktober this year, but as an effective compromise, I've decided to take part in Inktober doing the list for environment designers. I have been wanting to focus more on creating environments seeing as in the future I'll be making comics, so I think this Inktober will be the perfect opportunity to do so. I reckon this prompt list looks really interesting. I'm not sure how finished the artwork I create will be, and some days I may not have loads of time to create, but I plan to get fully stuck in and see what happens. I think the Inktober World's list will stretch me and take me out of my comfort zone, which will be a positive thing. I hope this time around to make similar gains as I did in 2017.
