Life Drawing

Here is a drawing from the life room today. Creating life drawings is a cool way to start the week and I'm glad that we are required to submit some of our life drawings as part of the concept art module this term. This drawing was creating from a 15 minute pose using willow charcoal and we were focusing on the contrapposto of the figure. This is basically just a fancy word for how the angle of the shoulders and the hips relate to each other. My tutor asked me today to concentrate on adding tone and value without the use of line. I was drawing by adding tone to the negative areas.
