Hellboy WIP

A drawing of the character Hellboy, based on the 2019 movie. This is a WIP illustration, and I used Liquitex acrylic paints to add the colour, and Sennelier ink to apply additional tones. I watched this film recently for the first time and I'm impressed with how good it is. A really great, intelligent, engaging story, and I enjoyed seeing Britain used for the filming locations.

What makes me laugh about the 2019 film is that Hellboy spends most of his time getting beaten up haha. I reckon David Harbour is excellent as Hellboy, although I still think Ron Perlman made a better rendition of the character. It seems that because Ron Perlman usually acts as monster type characters he doesn't get the credit he deserves, but I would say he is a phenomenonal actor.
