The Black Bolt

This is my second attempt at drawing the Black Bolt. I wanted to draw him again to tweak a few things, primarily the ratios on his face. For example, the distance between the top of his head to the eyes, or the distance between the nose and his lips etc. With this illustration I lowered the eyes to give him a more intense look. When I was drawing this I also considered how the skull seen front on is slightly bowed out at the sides (If that makes sense), it's not perfectly circular. I find it interesting how small subtleties can can a big difference to the look of a character. Obviously studying this type of masked hero can also apply to others such as Captain America, Daredevil etc. I'm far happier with this drawing of Black Bolt in comparison to the drawing I made last night. The other drawing from last night can been seen on my page.
