Spring-Heeled Jack

Item. 1877 Blackheath, London. Sighted in Blackheath, although the encounters started occurring 40 years prior.

Item. 1877 Aldershot, Rushmoor district of Hampshire, United Kingdom. A confrontation ensues between Spring-Heeled Jack and Her Majesty's Army. Shots were fired. Jumping Jack Flash escapes unharmed.

This week I've been posing the sculpt of Spring-Heeled Jack in ZBrush, and my Tutor has suggested that I recreate the scene featuring the character, from the recognisable Victorian Penny Dreadful book cover.

I've been taking inspiration from the book 'How To Draw The Marvel Way', which talks about how the most dynamic poses show the beginnings or endings of a movement. Hopefully I've added some action into this pose, and I put some time into getting the weighting right on the locomotion.
