These are renders from Unreal Engine 5 of the 3D model of Sláine, who is a 2000 AD comic book character. I've taken the 3D model through the full character pipeline and I created this artwork for my third year Character Art project at Falmouth University.
I rendered the character using Unreal Engine because I wanted to use real-time rendering, and the texturing was made with Substance Painter. I've also become a fan of using Substance Sampler, which I used to create the tileable floor material. The character was sculpted using ZBrush, and the UVs were developed in Maya. For the texturing on the character, I went for a style which was inspired by the artwork of 2000 AD Artists @theofficialsimonbisley and @fabrystudios
I had the crit for this project on Friday and I was pleased with the feedback. One of the Tutors said that I'm developing quite a distinct, unique sculpting style, and I am happy to hear this positive comment. I should find out the marks for the module in the next few weeks.
