The Phantom WIP

A goal of mine is to go back to basics with my drawings and improve them at a foundational level. The illustration of The Phantom is now around 75% complete and I'm pleased to have added the wolf sidekick. I used reference pictures when drawing the wolf to see how the fur on a real wolf is.

I'm making this illustration to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of when The Phantom was first published. The artwork has a lot of aspects from The Phantom comics, such as the sword leaning against the skull throne, which was used by the first Phantom.

An interesting fact about the first Phantom is he originates from Portsmouth in England...You are welcome.
