Bret the Hitman Hart

Ooohhhh Ooohhhh Wrestlemania! Bret the Hitman Hart, WIP. The typography has now been added to the artwork, and I'm pleased with how it's looking. I'm starting to add more type to my artwork these days, and I'm guessing this is partly to the comic book influence. I wanted the typography on this artwork to look as tabloidy as possible, and I think the newsprint works well. I'm using techniques I used on my foundation art course, but they worked back then, and they still work now. I've been listening to 1993 wrestling music on repeat creating this artwork, and I'm feeling inspired by the WWF right now. I reckon Machoman, Tatanka, and Papa Shango illustrations would also be great to create.
