Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka

This artwork is about as abstract and expressive as I get as an Artist, and to be real, I'm quite surprised that someone has taken an interest in these 2 large scale, A1 art development sheets. I made both of these illustration sheets during my Art Foundation course at Central Saint Martins, and it's a humbling experience to think that someone has sought them out.

The drawings are based on the novel 'Metamorphosis' written by Franz Kafka. This project was the first time really that I used a conceptual framework alongside creating artwork, and at the time I didn't understand the significance of the story. Since then I have realised how utterly profound and fascinating the story of 'Metamorphosis' is, and I'm thankful to my Art Foundation Tutors for introducing me to the novel.

Off to East Sussex in the United Kingdom these drawings go.
