Ventress

It was a great result for the Star Wars charity art auction with the team raising in total 550 dollars for charity. Good job to the other Artists. This makes it our second most successful event yet and I know the rest of the DFC Artists are feeling motivated to make bigger moves in the future. A number of positive aspects derived from the event, one of which I wasn't expecting. I've been approached by a Star Wars fan to create a Star Wars commission after seeing my artwork. I'm going to be illustrating Asajj Ventress. She is a Sith armed with 2 lightsabers. I'm aware of her from the Clone Wars animation and I think she is a very cool character. It's always a pleasure when I get commissioned to illustrate a character like this. I plan to break out the oil pastels for this artwork because vibrant colours can be attained using this material. Tonight I have made a start on the artwork, completing the initial line work using a graphite stick. The photo might show up the line work as faint, but hopefully you can make out the close up of the face.
